loading in that sector shows a lot of broken asteroids .. and pretty small ones. No collisions however

A possibly related element, as suggested by @SmilingDemon in slack: two players did in-fact login at seemingly the same time, at near the same sector, when the lagoff began.

Noticed the same thing with my big shipyard. although a bit less severe than yours.
Not sure how "fixable" this is, it's just collision detection that brings your performance down.

This is how I thought the original multi stack was going to work. Full support

NOTE: If we ever get support for multiple blocks on the same spot (2 slabs that together form a cube for example), the config will be adjusted for that. 1/2 slabs would have 50% less HP and mass + other changes. Because of that, this system would also need to support decimals. Placing down a 1/2 slab would deduct 0.5 of the block count and not 1.

Wouldn't it be better to leave the solo slabs the same but then make it so you don't get a bonus because you put two together? That way you won't be penalized by having weak points for using just slabs and you won't gain a buff for sticking two slabs together.

Can't reproduce. I believe what you saw was caused by another issue.
There's a bug where your fleet doesn't appear at the sector where it supposedly should be. It's not a severe issue though since just unloading and loading that sector again should fix it.

hey, umm. i actually have seen several incidents of players who are afk falling through their floor. and they have mass, physics, and all that, along with the spawn shop npc. it seems like you can fall through i dont know how though

Sven_The_Slayer moved T1650: Ship Status Bars displayed in the Nav Menu/on the HUD from Restricted Project Column to Restricted Project Column on the Restricted Project board.

Targeting each individual ship to get their status in a battle is quite tedious. If we had this combined with an ability to individually order ships, that would be amazing. Check your nav, see a ship is heavily damaged so you order them to retreat or other ships to their aid.
