This is happening in the menu already ?
Or do you have no mouse curser after loading into a game universe ? (with the ingame options menu open, or in advanced build mode)

I assume it is intended behavior as described in T179

Probably a intel problem again.
maybe even the one discussed on the forums about a shader problem?
I may have another puzzle piece to add.
Recently this error struck on a single player universe. I strongly suspect shipyards, specifically upsizing shipyards to accommodate a too large design that is already loaded, but I don't have proof of that - I continued to play in this world for quite a while regardless, over multiple sessions, so no chance to find any logs from then.

Being handled in that forum thread now, the shaders in question were already adjusted to cover more, although the forced work around mentioned in that thread should resolve it too for this update.

So, basically it's even worse now? Why would this be? Math error? I feel like this shouldn't have happened unless it was changed somehow. The original builders update, it seemed to be working fine again, so maybe if they figure out what changed and change it to a previous state it would be fixed? Or maybe a complete rework to have the math and drawing for shapes in build mode to be completely separate from other parts of the program if it isn't? It's just a pesky bug. Hope you guys can fix it!
In version 0.199.654, this nonsense happens.
That's the result of the build helper settings shown in the screenshot. Tried recalculating and everything.

Managed to cause the ship not same as self exception in v0.199.654, happened in trader controlled area.
Log 0-1 for serverlog/logstarmade/npcs included.
Could not join world directly after that exception but a restart allowed me to enter at an earlier point.

Has this been resolved yet?
@lancake apolgies for the late response, but i don't believe i have the log file anymore and if i do i'd have to dig deep to see if it is still on record.
Did you even look at the picture thats a bug...

there is any update on this bug ?
Also survival inventory is saved. What I mean is if I have a specific blocks in my hotbar in survival and log out it appears the same. But not for creative mode.
Trade stations don't receive block damage on purpose, like the stick shops.
Duplicate, merging tasks together.
Not a bug, only ship hotbars are saved.
This is still an issue
This is definitely not fixed, I'm having the same issues on the server I play on. I have 5 shipyards on the same station and the problem happened to all of them at the same time. In some cases the ship design won't load past 75%. In other cases it will load, but the option to build is greyed out. If I dock a real ship, the options are the same as if there was no ship docked, even though it recognizes the real ship is docked.

Looks like this is a derp on my part. I managed to re-connect the modules to the core.

Examined it:

That would be explained by missing meshes, they will be created properly with the new version.
Should not happen again.
They do not have any permission module beside the rail.
I tried it for a few more time and find out that power would only drained if you are playing in an existing universe prior to the patch and loaded in the sector for the 1st time.
If you leave the sector unloaded for a while, the power doesnt drained anymore.
Glad to hear this, thank you for the feedback.

You can just drag an drop the file into the comment edit field

There should be some error, that locks parts of the server.
@AndyP - Not surprised by your diagnoses. I will look for that log file.
I am still having this issue with my station even after the release of the patch on the 28th. It started when I went to dock a turret and it docked to the station but 2 sectors away in the middle of space.
The issue has been addressed in the latest release and should not happen anymore.
Can you provide a sample blueprint for a station with this effect?
We would like to test and examine it for errors and possible problems.
