Since the 646 patch I have seen a problem when playing over local LAN where the host server must be started up two times before rail docked entities will actually move and follow the rail. There is no problem with logic or connections, the rail docked entities simply remain frozen from the point of view of both the local player and remote player. It might be possible that this happens without having a guest client connection too, have not tested that yet.
