It seems to work for cannons but I can't get it to work for the few other computers I tried out (damage beam, missile computer and power supply) with plenty of power regen and power cap.
I will no longer be discussing my game issue in this task or on the current forum thread. I have opened a support ticket on freshdesk. As I have been repeatedly advised to do :)

The core is not able to fire its interaction beam when docked, not even when docked to turret axis.
Right on, I thought it could just be on my end but I wasn't sure. First real kinda bug I have really run into since playing. It's gotten to be somewhat annoying on such a large build.
This is not a bug report but rather a support ticket.
For now this should be considered a bug, as you can fire other weapons while being docked.
However for the use as interaction beam it should work now, as it is no longer a docking beam, which indeed made sense to prevent using it while being docked.

Increasing memory to 8GB is not always the best solution performance wise.
how do I add the configs? they are being stubborn... LOL!!!
And now I got the game running again after trying a few things out but the sound is still echoing... I dropped to an older version to see if that was the problem but it didn't. I had to mess with the settings in the launcher, which is weird because I set them high and then knocked them back to where they were and I'm not getting the low memory any more... BUT on occassion the game will crash out of the blue... Sometimes while spawning in other times while I am just moving astronaut mode from one location to another... I don't know what's up with the game and my brain is pounding from it...
And one last thing I don't know what the checker is talking about I have an HP with Intel everything and last known the graphics card handles HD really well... as I said up until a today the game was fine what could of possibly changed that would of caused me to have crashes and other problems???
I tried lowering all my settings. If it had a smaller number available in any of the options menus I lowered it. What I could disable I did. Except for memory I put the max at 8GB and doubled the rest of the memory settings. Still got the server notice pop-up ever second or so. So, after I deleted the entire starmade folder (basically everything including the launchers) I put every setting at the max. Including memory (8GB on all six fields in memory settings). Except for FPS which I locked at 60. It stayed near 60fps the entire time. Looked wonderful. Except for the constant server pop-up. Turned on the overlays and turned the info setting to some. Watched as the game would keep climbing in the amount of memory it was using. Then it would go right back down to roughly 1GB and start climbing again. I was watching the second memory field. The first was just showing the memory still available. The third never changed, showing that just under 7GB total was available.
I've had this happen AFTER the ship was build and moved to its permanent dock. Came back the next day and the rear 50m of this ship was gone.

Sorry. The logs are there. It is just the qoutes I placed on the URLS were used as part of the address. I would edit it. seems kinda pointless though. I like the game and I like what you are trying to do. It is just I am currently having issues with all the links to all your different sites. It seems to be split up across several totally different addresses. I am currently posting that issue in the forums though.
We never had those issues, and I know back in the beginning of buy-by-block times there was a problem with this and you could bypass it, it always saved, so it has to be broken recently (last 3-6 months) not much longer.
this would be a more advanced feature =)
Do you play in windowed mode, or fullscreen?
Loosing connections at random is nothing to work with, any way to get this on purpose?

Permission module should allow it for any station, if you're not using this it should allow ally <-> faction maybe but that's not really needed if permission modules work fine

Before hand faction permission was completely ignored.
If you want to so bad simply faction it to yourself...

Needs retesting, confirmation that permissions don't work properly between your faction gate and other stations.
Hm, the fix is not good enough then. It should allow ally <-> faction and neutral <-> faction connections. The permission module should bypass that completely.

Doesnt work. when a non faction member hold the marker it says unknown, and wont work.
Could just hand the marker to the allied faction member.
The shields and power are not saved when game is reloaded. In my case however the shields were not reset to 0 but they were not at the point I left them at. This could potentially be exploited to attack an unmanned base, you can hit it while its shields are busy loading in.

It was intended. we can no longer connect gates of other factions to one of out own...
This was never disabled, we're definitely speaking about a bug here. It seems to work fine for me, is the server you're on using the mass limit? the ship limit also affects stations (it shouldn't) so perhaps that is disabling your warp gates. It's also possible the link between warp gates permanently broke.
It's a station I have been working on. It could be because of the size of the structure. I don't know if it's reproducible on another game or confuguration, but it does happen every time when I load my single player game. I don't play on any servers yet.
