I seem to only get the nav beacons as well On windows 7, 64 bit. GTX970m

Stick and Gamepad support seems to be completely broken as of now.
Hm odd, I've tried both of the beta builds, and a normal build. but seems my launcher version on steam is 2.0.4, not 2.0.6.
I had it auto update only once and it didn't seem to update to the latest one (maybe a newer 2.0.4, didn't check build)
Nobody wants to play on a server that hangs and kicks everyone every hour, this is killing us...

@lancake Why close this one ? I think @SmilingDemon's advocated solution would be a good improvement, since that bug was already reported by 3 differents people at least.
Can you upload a log file when you're stuck at loading? Go to your starmade/logs folder, sort on date and drag and drop the latest log.txt.0 in the comment section.

This 2 logs in the description of T1542 were the 2 only one of the whole game session (
Unfortunately I didn't kept the serverlogs (but I can 99.99% assume they were normal since I checked them and didn't saw any usefull infos inside, just launch and close server process description); nor the threaddumps cause they look each time the same (don't know really what it describe, can't assume anything about that 2 ones cause I don't understand a shit from them :P ).

They're located in your starmade/logs folder, the one you want to share should be called log.txt.0 (sort on date, take the latest one) after you've exited your game.

I have the same bug but mine crashes to desktop rather then continuing to load.
Hm, could you link all of those logs of that session (drag and drop into comment section to upload)?
There might be a stacktrace somewhere when it first started occurring but this seems to be a good start. Game thinks you don't have enough blocks so it removes it after placement. The nullpointer might be related to creative mode.
I'll retry then.

I just ran the game with NO MODS, EVERYTHING DEFAULT, meaning: I deleted everything re-installed the game then ran the game with setting Max memory limit to 8192 for 8GB of ram and in game settings like: Full screen, 512 stars, 10000 segments, etc normal game settings, and i still CAN NOT place any slabs.
The Problem at one point of the ship seems to be solved as I installed the new Patch. But now I used some Circuit Blocks and the Problem is still there with Purple Crystal Armour.
Note: You do not need Steam installed to test this feature.
Can't reproduce. My salvage beam hit linked systems, unlinked systems and the build block at roughly the same time but no nullpointer.
While I have never "experienced" this myself (My builds have been immune to it luckily) it happens a lot with certain players of the Shattered Skies server, with builds that use lots of closely-docked turrets and other entities.
I found that really strange in log.txt.0
I updated to the new version, and changed the settings.cfg as above. And it works fine now! Thank you for your support!

I checked the over capacity thought, and it still does not let me place any slabs.
I lowered my inventory down to 1.2% cap. and tried to use slabs, but I still get the same error. Also I noticed while having the Allow personal inventory over capacity = true ,the game still told me in red that I am over capacity. Not sure if this is normal or not.
that is aside from my mouse being a 10year old Mx518 the same as for me.
Server is GenX btw so I know you can get server config
