Increasing the default width of the menu by about 150-200 pixels should do the trick. That or implement a dynamic text scaling to fit better at all sizes...

Seemed like a simple thing to reproduce but I can't seem to get it to crash. Could you provide your log files when you crash?

Problem solved after the NPC release, all displays were also replaced.

I cant reproduce that ... its not good either .. its not proportional (buy window to Sell window) .. and you cant resize them seperatly.
but i have no clue how you managed to make the upper one not scale together with the whole window.
any clue how you did that ?

worked fine for me on Ubuntu 16.04
new world and a pre-npc world tested ... Factions spawned fine
It's presumed to only happen on linux systems. The test servers appear to be fine but they may have failed copying over files since a while ago and it kept using the old files?
