OK... putting back in queue as it seems that the initial path settup isnt catching the illegal characters in the same way as the input from the options menu does.

0 - 20 is numbering of the logs 0 newest 20 oldest ... a new one pushes all other one to 20 .. 21 is deleted. .. afaik

to be able to place them as deco blocks in the first place was a bug.
that wasnt intended at all for gameplay purposes.

i thought that was intended behaviour and the slider jumping to 4096 as a power of 2 correct
the memory setting gets update to 3072 automatically without thouching the slider.

no longer an issue as of 0.199.125 (DEV)
thats correct ... neutrals against neutrals, even on the same ship are shooting there own missiles.
to benefit from that option to only target unfriendly (including neutral) missiles you have to be factioned.
