the expected out come should be with value set to false
a. both unfactioned - missiles get shot
b. one is factioned - missiles get shot
c. both are factioned - missiles stay untouched

the expected out come should be with value set to true
a. both unfactioned - missiles get shot
b. one is factioned - missiles get shot
c. both are factioned - missiles get shot

the last option isnt working

Tester information (Internal use only)

even though the initial assumption of the report was wrong .. the setting for MISSILE_DEFENSE_FRIENDLY_FIRE isnt able to make own missiles target able when factioned properly

to clarify
the
MISSILE_DEFENSE_FRIENDLY_FIRE = true //can shoot down own or missiles from own faction
setting regardless of true or false are NOT targeting Missiles fired from a friendly properly factioned entity.

that is wrong indeed. the other way around i couldnt verify that.

are you sure you did faction everything properly ?

Oops my bad. You're right, I put the faction module but didn't faction signed the entity. So it was neutral entity.
Now when it's factionned properly there no more problems of interference in "false" ; logic cannon & missile can be settle closely and shooting without interferes each other.

But still that even if set as neutral that still a bit weird that ship entity shot down its own missile (the weapons wasn't even docked). Don't know if it's done purposely.

thats correct ... neutrals against neutrals, even on the same ship are shooting there own missiles.
to benefit from that option to only target unfriendly (including neutral) missiles you have to be factioned.

however ... i couldnt get that feature to be disabled with the server setting
thats trivial .. but still have to recheck it and see if it is really broken
