Please document texture pack and resolution(s) you tried on testing.
I feel like we had this already, but cant seem to find it.
duplicate of T120
I slapped this together in a minute or two.
Docked test ship on left hand side of platform. There are faction blocks on both the test ship and the ship with the activators. I assumed to avoid faction issues both have to have the faction blocks set. Both activators are linked and one is connected to the green light. No station involved just ships entities. I haven't tested with a station.
I will, just bored. :) Not expecting credit.
however this task belongs to @spunkie
better contact him to get this forward.
console or logs will show it.
T705 is the one where you can't use the core activation beam while docked.
ah ok, i was under the impression that the error was visible in game. i'll go to the server console.. :)
Have you take a look in the server console while it is docked?
There should appear the message.
I copied the design in his picture with the lower rail pointing up to a rail that it wont work on. Perhaps i'm missing what he's meaning.
No need for a video, just turn a rail in an orientation that cant be moved to, and it will trigger this. message.
Can't really retest it now, but the fatal startup status of this, should be taken care of.
Which server are you on? Are you able to produce a video of it?
Looks like the server try to move the docked ship to move forward on the rail, but the target rail has a wrong direction.
So this produces the error messages.
Actually we ran into this bug a couple times on SS and Hypercore. We lost a musaka to this bug, the bow section (with the docking block) disappeared and the ship fell off of the dock it was on. We logged back in to find that we were missing a ship, which was later traced to another player's base (without the bow section)
Tirus , are you docking a ship to the lower rail?
Can you capture using video, and can you upload it and the station blueprint with the test ship docked?

i would have sworn there was a report about this already ... couldnt find it
-retesting-
Issue still occurring on latest version
It should trigger when manually selecting a version different from the currently installed version though.
-QA testing-
Fixed, as all remaining sections with missing icons were removed from the launcher.

Basicly, The shipyard is not saving a smd2 file that is needed for over a set amount of distance from the core.

ok i noticed this isn't only happening with copy/paste also with chosing where sym. mode goes, this will need some more testing
For me its happened with a ship designed and built in the shipyard.
Constructed ships will be cut off at the front and back (relative to the shipcore) when you reload the sector. From what I've seen it's 7.5 chunks at the front, and 8.5 at the back that remain.
Total ship length is 256meters or 16 chunks.

I have attempted to load a design that is too large, gives me the design to large for the ship yard. could you please send a screenshot, or even better a video?

Haven't found this yet. I have a ship in the yard longer than the ship yard that is successfully docked and and am getting the "ship too large for yard" error. Will continue to test.

Filled all the slots and tried to remove an existing block off a prebuilt ship. Gave the no room in inventory. When leaving creative i can then remove blocks.
Why was this downgraded? Missing entire chunks of ships isn't important?

Not much to say about this
All the other ones do have the ability to slave systems to them
Question here is .. is that a design decision or not ? If yes this can be rejected then
