Starmade | Core Block Activator not activating actuator block
Closed, RejectedPublic

Description

Was testing a modular hanger bay system with rails and logic. Noticed that when testing with a temporary ship that I couldn't activate an actuator with a core block activation beam. There is a bug report in about not being able to while docked. However additionally I couldn't activate or deactivate (tested left and right click beams) even while undocked. Both my ship and the hanger was in the same faction. No faction permission modules wasn't used. To make sure it wasn't logic locking it out I placed a solitary actuator block not connected to anything and couldn't change its state with the test ships core activation beam. Not was trying to activate the actuator mounted on a railed entity. Restarted the game and still has the same problem

Can you capture using video, and can you upload it and the station blueprint with the test ship docked?

T705 is the one where you can't use the core activation beam while docked.

I slapped this together in a minute or two.
Docked test ship on left hand side of platform. There are faction blocks on both the test ship and the ship with the activators. I assumed to avoid faction issues both have to have the faction blocks set. Both activators are linked and one is connected to the green light. No station involved just ships entities. I haven't tested with a station.

Tested both left and right click. On this web page you can't see animation get a close view of the animation gif and it will animate properly.

I could upload the entire hanger but I'm getting the same issue on this small testing ship.

Here is the testing done; it all works. in the video i start with the rail docker, it acts like the gif you loaded. are you sure you were using the core beam? the second is me using the core beam. so, if you are using the core beam and it is acting like the docking beam..... we got some more research to do..

So reconfirm that you are using the core to activate the act. mod, just to be sure. and then get back to me.

Arrggg. Such a small thing kill this ticket, sorry for wasting your time. I'll keep an eye on the other ticket about it not working while docked.
