Due to the old docking blocks no longer being listed in shops at all.
Jan 9 2016
For me, this issue only occurs on the testserver, not in my singleplayer universe.
Maybe a comparison between the universes can show the cause of the issue?

The logs seem to contain no related error as far as I can tell, putting the ticket up for grabs if anyone else may have an idea.

-Confirmed-
The described phenomenon occurs with the default server.cfg and the provided settings.cfg.
However, it appears to be hardware dependant.
It occurred on an intel HD Graphics 4600 gpu, while it didn't occur on an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 GPU.
As I do not possess any other GPUs, I cannot test any further.
You can upload the files directly to phabricator by using drag and drop on the the textfield for comment.

-QA Testing-
Not fixed, still occurring in v0.19519. Behaviour did not change.
I fail to reproduce on ubuntu linux 12.04 using openJDK7. (both v0.19498 and v0.19519)
The issue may be bound to the specific JVM, so knowing which java is being used would help.
If logfiles from the crash could be provided it may also help determining the source.

The partial faces of slabs next to transparent slabs, that are equally high or higher, are not rendered.
If the orientation of the slabs is not the same, the face is rendered, which is intended.

on star-made.org, scroll almost to the bottom of the site.
You will see this:
Then click on RSS Feed, and you have the feed. (The All News is a different link)
Nov 22 2015
-Closed-
I think the difference is, that the news page is not an RSS feed, while the other feeds you were adding actually were RSS feeds.(maybe with some layout applied, but nontheless RSS format)
Anyhow, issue resolved.
Well, since I had no problem to subscribe with both of my 2 feeders, I guess that means this problem is a problem of your feeder.
What feed URL did you try to subscribe to? http://star-made.org/news.rss ?
Both feeders I used were able to pick up the latest newspost from the feed.
Moving to Feedback, to find out, if the new post is also acknowledged by the author's feedet.

Reclosing, due to duplicate ticket being closed.
-QA Testing-
Fix confirmed as of v0.19494
Retested in latest devbuild.
-QA Testing-
Fix confirmed.
No face of a block is transparent in any of the cases described in the description.
Nov 20 2015
The blueprint of the assembly used to test this:
-Confirmed-
Only affects not-glitched full faces of non-full blocks, with the exception of other slabs.
-Confirmed-
Confirmed to behave exactly as the description states.
-Confirmed-
Confirmed to occur, however, the behaviour is not as originally described in 1 specific case:
ADD ALL works as intended, and will also add the slabs, all the single ADD buttons on slabs will malfunction however, claiming one does not possess any of the required blocks.

The reader lets me subscribe, but then it does not appear in my list of feeds. If I try to subscribe again, it doesn't stop me saying I've already done so.
I understand that I am not using the feeders you tested with, and I can't say that many others use the feeder I choose to use, but I wonder if it's still a sign that some users would have this issue, and assume that the RSS feed is simply broken (as I did).
I subscribed to the feed http://star-made.org/news.rss with 2 clients:
- mozilla firefox' dynamic bookmarks
- thunderbird's blogs&news-feeds
If any of them do not identify the next newspost on star-made.org, I will see this issue as requiring further research.

on every attempt, except right after the deletion of ~/StarMade/Launcher. Process does not stop. In certain cases window loads for a splitsecond only to turn completely white and not respond anymore."
You should not delete files that are running active processes. This causes OS instabilities as you described above. Use of Process "Kill" Command is recommended. Obtain the PID using "ps aux" (but you knew that already right?)
Does not occur for me (nvidia GTX-760, latest drivers, linux)
My best guess at to what the white lines are would be the texture-bounds of the lensflare textures.

In T506#28961, @AndyP wrote:In general, a slider is easier to use, if it takes system memory into account. (However, a slider with textbox beside, representing the current value, and leaving the option to manually enter a number would not harm too... so depends on actual implementation it will get.)
- Andy
For the 32 bit versions of the launcher, a slider will suffice, as the maximum is fixed at 1024Mb. In case of the 64bit version, the real maximum would be so large, it would be ridiculous to include in a slider, so I recommend to either:
- have the maximum of the slider be the amount of physical RAM of the computer, if the launcher is able to detect it.
- use a spinner instead of a slider. clicking the up button of the spinner will double the value(or add 1024, if the value is 1024 or higher), whereas the down button of the spinner will do the reverse, with a minimum value of 1.
As for what a spinner is: http://www.java2s.com/Code/JavaImages/SwingSpinnerTest.PNG

Upon first launch, launcher displays 'Launcher Updating' message, then exits, starting a new instance of itself under a new PID. The new instance(and all consecutive launches) still show the same behaviour on Ubuntu 14.04 32bit. I can understand not supporting too old versions, but the latest LTS version should still be supported. Attached full logfile:

Entities now only abide by the limits for their own type, if those were set.
However, one of the popups indicating the limit-breach has the mass variable mistaken for the block-count variable. Floating point steps also play a part:
- Ship
- Block limit: 1000
- Mass limit: 5.1
- Station
- Planet
An example BlockConfigImport.xml would probably help in this case.

There should be:
If t=timeSinceAnimationStart and T=lengthOfAnimation, and v(t)=speedAlongsideSquare, then a constant angular speed of the line can be achieved by:
v(t)=1-cos(PI*4t/T)*(sqrt(2)-1)
[assumed average speed: 1]
Since speed is the derivative of distance over time[after some dividing to get the numbers within the frame of 0 and 1]:
s(t)=t/T-(sqrt(2)-1)*sin(4PI*t/T)/4PI
v0, 4PI and (sqrt(2)-1) are all constants, so those shouldn't keep the computer too busy.
s(t) will tell you how much of the circumference of the square the line has traveled since the animation started, and for as long as 0<t<T, 0<s(t)<1
I hope this helps[and I hope I didn't make a mistake in the math].

The animation does not stop in the edges, however, it still slows down towards them. You can see it if you cover your monitor except for a circle around the center of the slot. Affects weapon and scanner cooldown, other cooldown/charge animations were not tested yet due to the aforementioned results.
