The max I can do (and recommanded by windows) is 1920x1080, real colors 32 bits, 60 hertz. I use a 22 inch LCD TV as screen (don't know its model tough).

The only instance of invisible beams that I have been able to find is firing beams into a planet's atmosphere. The beams are visible on the outside of the atmosphere but when they are incident upon the outer edge they become invisible after that point. This was found using salvage beams and the beams still work in doing what they are supposed to.
Firing salvage beams inside a planet's atmosphere draws the entire beam.

This issue should have been resolved in the 2nd hotfix (build 20160522_114626)
You can probably not reproduce it reliably so I'll keep it on resolved for a while, see if anyone else gets the issue again.

This error occurs only during relog. Once logged-in, TAB+F3 again significantly improves rendering, without causing any apparent issues/crashes.
