I think that the most good can be done if Build Mode, in all its contexts, shows both the total power and standalone power. Perhaps even for shields, making a distinction of how much shielding is available once the parent's drops below 50%.

Hm, this perhaps should change but it's not really a bug, more like an oversight? It always shows the total power capacity of any entities you're docked to (the design is docked to the station). I suppose it would be logical if it didn't do this for a design yes.

This bug report was very hard to do but I was able to get nested tabs to work.
Clearly there is something I am missing so I require some more information.

It would seem that this is correct upon trying to see info on a planet edge it does not work in build mode however attempting to do so in astronaut mode works just fine.

It would seem that if you manage to undock a turret before the main station is below 50% hp or its faction block is destroyed then the turret will not be decayed.
