Slabs allow you to make smooth stair cases now without having to rely on 45° wedges. However, walking on these requires you to jump each time, for every slab. That can be annoying thing.
Here are the examples that I think should work:

step size will only be 1/4 slabs. i don't think it would look good if you could scale half a block. half a block step size might also mess with the physics of an astronaut for other things (ability to climb almost vertical walls)
You must admit our current 45'c steps are less the ideal, These slabs could mean we knock two birds out with one stone
-QA Testing-
still not working .. you have to press against the slabs border to wobble one step up.
slow walking and you are not able to step one up
I'm not sure if it's related to this issue but attempting to walk on slab stairs while in the gravity of a design (hologram in a shipyard) neutralizes gravity. It could also be related to T837.

Ive noted odd behaviour when walking up diagonal slabs. This may be a result of having a bad computer, though.
Place an "L" shape of Slabs,
However, when I come to record a GIF of this, my PC drops frames into low-performance, and suddenly despite pre-lining up and testing, whenever I am recording the GIF, the extra load on my PC causes my Astro to scale the corner with no problem.
normal walking movement up a slab stair way is fine now.
moving at an angle (around 45degree) towards the stair slab makes you glide along the slab edge ... and then stop at a corner of a slab stair because of it
