SmilingDemon changed the status of T814: Transported astronaut position gets out of sync Client<->Server from Open to In Queue (Game).

-Confirmed-
Teleporting between two teleporters while the server saves (spamming /force_save while activating teleporter) and probably also while under heavy load the Client and the server get out of sync in regard to the position of the astronaut that was transported.


offset position is not consistenly the same
i did spawn underground within the planet in this picture from the other players view (me being the one in yellow in front)

checked 2.5km to the next sector 5km between sectors .. shouldnt have any impact.
i will try to fall through a few worm holes .. but i doubt i will encounter any problem.
except you did die for what ever reason and did respwan away from a wormhole ?

To be honest, no matter what you do, your FPS is not going to stay 60 when you're using that many groups. That's a performance drop, not lag.
Putting back to open status, the ping/lag issue needs to be investigated, not the performance drop.

Not because the ice planet is causing lag, but mining planets still causing lag. The one reported on are small planets. When FPS goes from 60 to 8. when mining a small planet...Seems like an issue. Although granted, the ship doing the testing was a planet eater.

I don't thinks so the server is sunworld.at I don't know the sector size but it i think its the sectors have normal size.
They really looking about performance and bigger sectors are not really fitting in this.

What is the sector size in the server settings ?
Could be that it is out of sight due to that being bigger than usual

Ok thanks for information but what is with the wormhole I mean I have never heared that someone spawns after using a wormhole 1000km away from the next wormhole.
Inmean I have no idea how this happended is there already a bugreport or should i create one ?

Put the settings to 0. Damaged a station , repaired, no charge.

Between this and getting thrown in strange directions into your ships superstructure when leaving the core some days you want to throw something thru the screen, especially when the constantly repeated "just sit down first" not only doesn't always work but isn't always possible re:turrets.

Rough time range of log files for this occurrence posted to conpherence. Let me know if you need more from me or need me to try and refine the log range a bit better, I'll jump on it when I have the time a bit later today or something. Good luck with the bug hunting!

I have a lot of server log files from the 10th, much is console 'Stop Effect' spam which would have been from weapons system testing prior to occurrence of the bug. Trying to widdle the logs down to a range closer to the issue, will upload to conpherence as soon as I get them off the server. It is my wife's day off, so my computer coverage is spotty, but I'm trying to get these files uploaded as soon as possible before they are more difficult to track down; sorry that I do not have the time at the moment to refine it to just 1 or 2 of the total logs.

It was neither, actually. I'd been working on the ship in the morning. Went and parked it in that sector to do a mid-day speed build thing on stream with Raiben in a different sector and then after he left the build/stream server and I returned from my lunch break I went back to that sector to retrieve and keep working on the ship (actually admin warped out to a pirate station for weapons testing and thats when I discovered the link issue). Warped the ship back and began re-linking logic which is about when Dalmont showed up on our TS server, heard what was happening and told me to stop and save things (this was also when I discovered that as Dalmont had predicted, the entire sector was unlinked). I can take a quick gander through the server logs though if you want, but who knows how deep anything relating to this would be buried if I have the logs.

Hm, this might be tricky to find. Not sure if this sector export will conclude something. There's probably no logs from that period?
Was this immediately after the server updated to 0.19488? Was it the first time the sector got loaded after 0.19488?

A station is not a ship .. in that regard this makes sense!
But a value to take a station (or planet) into account might be necessary

...15 minutes of footage later, I find out that I need to be in Windowed mode to record properly than get a single image from a video...
Preliminarily, Desert planets appeared to cause the least drops in FPS and Ping... Hopefully pre-mining those planets hasnt skewed the results...

It is absolutely related to non-cubic blocks and it is not related to either of those issues. This issue happens to me frequently onboard a particular ship while walking through a diagonal 3x3 hallway with beveled edges. I can screenshot the hallway if that would be helpful.

Raising priority due to undeathinators not being escapable through the same methods as a core and sometimes requiring admin intervention as respawning will not save you neither will relogging.

This also causes problems with spawning at undeathinators that have blocks next to them in the -z direction.

Using Demons ship it doesn't matter what planet, (ice, green, so far) my FPS goes from 65-70 to 6. I'll try a smaller one next.

Yes, Some Details: I have noticed that any beam weapons only have a range of 500, regardless of the range stated in the weapons info box. I found this when I was bulding a long range beam weapon and i could not hit a distant ship even though a long range cannon with less range could.
