We've had one prior case where a NullPointer in the character file prevented logins. In this case Wolfe had no idea there was a problem - they'd login and work for hours, not aware of any issues. Took us a couple days to catch up with them, and coordinate the file reset.
Ok but in this case why the generic [power] and [shield] instead of [Power] and [Shield] ?
The new main menu changed how resolutions are handled.
Tried this out again and works fine if you have 2 or more monitors.
Maybe it doesn't make sense to you, but it does to me. I think in this case it's just personal preference that matters.

Doesn't seem to happen consistently, i'll have to check it out more thoroughly
Most likely you just have a broken installation. Your textures are located at ./starmade/data/textures, delete this folder and do a force download all & overwrite.
For each video, it creates a ffmpeg64.exe process. I suppose that isn't too bad. Each one takes about 35MB of memory so it could quickly add up if we have 20 or more videos.
If this can be reduced, great.
No they should be named OpenAL*.dll or alike.
Seen this happen a few times on various servers.
Rare case, but cant reproduce this on purpose.
But effectively stops the player from logging in, and without external admin contact they are usually unable to continue playing on the server.
Ok totally misunderstood the thing, Starmade's one: all restored.
eh, keep the ones in the starmade directory intact and in place, those are the ones that should be used.
Well, high CPU load is not harmful for the hardware.
However duplicating the threads and load from video is not wanted, and should be limited in some way.

Removing them from native/windows removes the shipped ones that work with the game.
Make sure you remove the ones in your windows system directory, they should not be there.
No, remove them from your windows directory.

are you using any specific mouse driver program (Makro tools, programable mouse buttons something like that)?
what is your hardware setup for this?
OS ?
Already reported, merging tasks.
I had restored the openAL64.dll in native\windows\x64 only and it works quite fine (only problem seems the Schine's logo sound render but intro movie take long time to appear and when it's render it's just for I saw the logo fading out).
Well, I removed the both and it's worse.

Remove both to be sure.
(Move them to another folder, just in case they are needed by some other program)
Yep I had both OpenAL32.dll & 64. Should I remove just one of them or both ?

The unsatisfied link error is usually from an incompatilble OpenAL version on the system.
One more screenshot, with a non-#general chat channel window set w/ HUD & FULL
In T1416#58529, @SmilingDemon wrote:thats a missunderstanding i think.
fot this towork you have to close the general chat and open another channel on the hud in full mode.
that can be a private empty one that can be moved out of view.
i think thats how it works
