in your sample the pickup point is always active and grabs the undocked part again because it is to close
experiment with this setup

if you exit the game and restart through the launcher .. the memory is free again .. right ?
its only gobbling up memory when going back to the main menu and in game again?

There is still the C:\Users ... part in front of the launcher in the target line .. right ?

OK ... checked the functionality again ... cant find a problem
texture for the pickup rail is 180° turned .. probably causing that problem
this is a build mode only effect .. right ?
after one of those crashes ... take a look at the log folder in your starmade install
there will be a logstarmade.0.log file drag and drop that into an answer here.

a small sample with your mechanism to dock/undock that shows the effect...
a core with that attached and a core + docker as the drone will do
then take a BluePrint of that .. sorry for the BP abbreviation

where did you undock from ?
was it close to a sector border?
please provide the logfile of one of those events.
please build a sample and add its BP if that sample causes it too (i cant reproduce it with my own docks)
so these are more than one problem then ?
- undocking a thing from a station using logic isnt actually undocking the entity ? it isnt being able to move away from the dock even manually ?

havnt heard any reports about this in the last two weeks ... closing this for now
ok .. i checked it
creating a game setting up the gates properly and all is working fine
only thing is the GUI isnt being updated it seems
see if this is the same for you:
good that it is working for you now.
BUT ... the files you did link which solved the issue are identical to the files that reside in my .402 install.
i reject this therefore assuming something went wrong when you did update/install the first time.

Fixed for non Admins ... still a bit weird for admins ... but far from game breaking as before -> trivial
afaik the race needs a start and end point that are connected with the beam tool (which i think can be the same gate by linking it to itself).
did you do that ? .. if not i think this is a user error and not a bug.
