Event Timeline
Not seeing this occur as described. Taking fire with shields up or down does not cause the indicated behavior
you need to get hull damage, as soon as groups are getting destroyed, it needs to recalculate it and this collapses all open structure menus.
There may be other ways to get it to auto close. We had this problem in the past where menus auto closed due to something happening elsewhere on the server.
I believe 1 of those triggers was a player entering your sector, or a player joining the server. Pretty sure that got fixed but it's something to look at during QA
@lancake you merged the task I made about the menus collapsing on their own with this. However, the menus collapse even when the ship isn't getting shot, it's not the same bug. Having a large amount of entries in one of the tabs will cause the game to momentarily freeze, and it auto-closes the tab 90% of the time when that happens.
Try activating the turrets on your large carrier via the structure tab, chances are the bug will occur since it has a lot of docked entities (and therefore a lot of entries in that specific sub-menu). Either way, I suggest moving all the "activate AI" buttons to a seperate tap, since just the lag caused by all the docked entity entries in the current menu is rather problematic (aka game freezing for 20 seconds every time I try to open it).
Edit: Just to make it clear, the situation outlined above won't occur if you only have a couple of docked entities on the ship, you really need to have a lot (probably over 100).
