Description

Crossing sector borders on high ping connections can cause a loss of velocity when changing sectors.

Was able to reproduce on shattered skies and on the test server. Singleplayer is expectedly unaffected.

requires a ping possibly in excess of 150ms worked at ping around 30

  1. fly to your ships max speed
  2. watch it drop when crossing sector borders

The method of border crossing seems to not matter nor does using overdrive.

Another point in the list of sector border crossing issues.
However this may be a side-effect of the displacement bug (T8).

Status
Have not been able to confirm this yet. I am always over 160 in pings. only thing I get is that the space dust flying by, vanishes and then comes back. I will continue to test.
