Starmade | Ships (and ship cores, turrets, etc.) keep being teleported to planet core
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I have my homebase on a planet and I dock all my ships to it. From time to time I log on to find a ship stuck in the planet core. I then have to ask an admin to either teleport or destroy the ship.

It has happened many times. Today I logged in and found some 5 of my turrets stuck there. It looks random enough, as some turrets are still docked to the ship (and the ship is in turn still docked to the base). A couple of them are turret bases only that kept attached to the ship while the barrel is stuck in the core...

Isn't this just the bug where docked things randomly teleport away, but in a planet sector?

I was unable to reproduce this affect

Please include your log files and a detailed list of steps you took to reproduce this affect.

Any details you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I have a base on a planet. On the shipyard, build a ship that has turrets or other docked entities. Dock the ship to the base. Logoff, wait for server restart. When you come back some of the turrets are in the planet core.

Same happens if, in build mode, I create a docked entity to the base. On server restart that docked entity will be in planet core.

These do not happen if I spawn a ship from a core and then manually dock it to either the base or the ship.

One thing that may be relevant is not renaming the docked entity upon creation. I just leave it whatever pops up.

It seems to be the exact same bug as reported here: http://phab.starma.de/T834 , except that mine get sent to the planet core because I'm in a planet sector.

Yes this seems to just be an issue with shipyards... and this bug seems to be related to T834.

Ok, In that case this issue should be merged into T834 as that is older.
