Starmade | Confusion if multiple players do use the same personal storage
Confirmed task for development, LowPublic

Description

when a storage is set to personal usage by two or more players and being used at the same time the sorting order of the hotbar gets affected by every player using that storage

Video Card Vendor

Steps to reproduce
  1. open a storage and set it as personal cargo
  2. insert more than 10 different single stack items (or different multistack ones)
  3. set inventory to this cargo
  4. change the sorting order of the cargo storage within the first 10 slots and watch the hotbar change
  5. this is different from the normal inventory behaviour
Tester information (Internal use only)

the normal inventory moves stack in and out of the inventory stash and into the hotbar
the personal cargo always links to the first 10 slots of the cargo storage in question

this is inconsistent and causes confusion and makes game play for multiple players using one storage while building problematic.

probably changing this to always only let the hot make a link to a stack in the storage or inventory would be more intuitiv here.

-Validated-

Does look like it's intended although that doesn't mean it's the best way to handle multiple people using the same cargo.

-Confirmed-

Preferred behavior would have the item selected remain in the hotbar position for as long as that storage contains the item, regardless of its position within the storage.
