Starmade | random desyncs with multiple players on a server
Closed, FinishedPublic

Description

I had these happen for a while now, and so did others on the test server. It didn't happen during release and it may be something related to the language editor, not entirely sure...

Either way, I had them happen when

  1. I teleported someone to another sector, both us desynched immediately afterwards
  2. When a player joined.

Don't know what caused 1 to really happen since I can't reproduce it.

Issue 2 might be related to when a player joins and the other one has to download his skin. Either way it's not really reproducible either since when we try it again afterwards, it doesn't happen.

Another one, after getting the first desynch i rejoined and me and cablestinks were playing without problems. When SchnellBier joined though, both of us already on the test server got desynched.

It will be great to see this actually fixed. Thanks Schema.
This has been hanging around for a long time.

It used to be when players held Shift, however you already fixed that already some time back.

Do you have logs about recent desynchs you've been getting? This task was aimed towards the frequent desynchs that happened in the dev builds which are as far as I can see fixed.
If you have logs, you should make a new bug report about it and include that with a short description.

-QA Testing-

Not sure what type of desynch @mushroomfleet had/has but the ones this issue talked about don't appear anymore. Fix confirmed.
