Selecting 1 of the 8 chamber icons, will put you into that tab.
Closing and re-opening the reactor menu though, will always put you in the 1st tab. Annoying behavior if you're working on your reactor.
It should put you back in the tab you were in for that session.
The tab selected will be Reactor Stealth Chamber, the left most one.
