Starmade | Admin Remove does not update map
Confirmed task for development, LowPublic

Description

#1
Simply put, if you use administrator commands such as "/destroy_entity" or "/destroy_entity_dock" to remove stations or such; the map does not seem to properly update to reflect this as you would expect. Logging out of the game and logging back in DOES resolve this issue, but you would generally expect the map to update this. Perhaps adding a manual "Refresh Map" button in the Galaxy Map could be beneficial, with some sort of cooldown (to prevent having to constantly re-sync it if a player decides to spam the button.)

#2
any removal of stations regardless of how its removed seems to also not update the map as i can clearly see a station that has been dead for 10 mins on the map after a relog i found that the station was removed Also teleporting stations also seems to (again) not update the map, Planets also do not get updated until after a relog you can see planets that have been long dead and blown up.
Tested on latest dev build running the command "/destroy_entity_dock" on a pirate station does not update the map!

Blowing up a planet does update the map, however /destroy_entity_dock used on stations[or planets] does not update the map. A planet destroyed using /destroy_entity_dock will still be indicated on the map, even after a restart.

yes Planet isnt working in that way
they get removed within the sector ... but are still visible from neighbouring sectors and on the Galaxy map

edit: after a while they where gone on the map in single player too. is this save cycle dependent, or simply takes time? On unload and reload the Planet wasnt visible from the next sector either !

  • i do not really know if the /destroy_entity_dock command is intended to be used with planets ? we have this blow up planet thing for that ??

Stations did work fine for me both with command and by killing the last block and pushing the station to overheat.
The icon got removed directly from the Galaxy map, i have seen that this may take some time on the testserver but was executed in SP imidiate.
