What it says on the subject line. I tried all 6 faces of the block and can't enter it like I can with a AMC computer.
There isn't even a "[R] Enter Damage Beam Computer" interaction for it in astronaut mode.

I'm not sure if you are supposed to be able to enter all current computers but here is a list of what you can't enter.
Beam computer Damage pulse computer Jump drive computer All effect computers (Warp gate computer although this is logical)

Effect computers and warp computers make sense. Supply/Drain also makes sense. But the beam computers don't.
I looked at it from a multiplayer point of view for side-mounted broadside beam systems. You can't aim broadside weaponry from the ship core (unless you change cockpit cameras), just whatever weapons you have whose computers are facing forward.
With this in mind, if you have someone with you on your ship who wants to help take potshots at a pirate (or an enemy player) flanking you, they need to get in a weapon computer. Now if beams are your primary, they can't help you and you have a longer fight (or a faster defeat) ahead of you. And if the slave computer to those beams is an AMC computer, they can jump in that but doing so apparently breaks the master/slave link and they still can't help you shoot those flanking ships.
It'll be addressed eventually. Brought it up because I saw it from the PoV of someone allowing other players to man those computers so they could help a slow-turning ship deal with broadside attacks.
Which reminds me. Any chance of linking left/right facing weapon computers to a camera on those sides to help facilitate their aim?

the view after entering the computer always from the core .. makes it pointless to enter them in a lot of ways
- maybe cameras should be connect able to computer blocks and provide a view then for only this computer
