Starmade | Keyboard keys switch suddenly from AZERTY to QWERTY keyboard

DISCLAIM : I'm play on AZERTY French keyboard.

I was fighting with a friend, I left the ship at around 300 m/s and died killed.

When I respawned in sector 0,0,0. My character continue to move alone forward without pressing any keys. The only way to stop him was to push backward or strife right but instead of going back or strife it just immobilized. As soon I sto pushing back or right my astronaut continue alone is journey by forwading without any help.

Then I press the azerty's Q in order to test left strife but instead of strifing left it strifed down.

Seems my whole keyboard turned from AZERTY to QWERTY without reason when I spawned. I successevely stuck myself on a ship to stop my astronaut derivation and tested some movements to confirmate I was on QWERTY. Whining on server chat and logged out.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally switched it yourself? For windows your keyboard normally has 2 different "languages". 1 is azerty, the other is qwerty.

The combination to switch is alt + shift or on some laptops FN key + space (depends on brand, might want to google it).

You're absolutely exact, it's that. I put a new set of keys and ALT+LEFT SHIFT (free camera + left rolling ingame) switch my windows keyboards. It's bit annoying cause ALT and LSHIFT are handy keys pretty accessible for the move control WASD hand.

You can disable or alter the keys for that in the windows menus for language support.

(But assuming you do not have two different keyboards attached to the computer and use one or the other alternating, its usually okay to disable it.. ^^)
