This is probably two seperate bugs, but may be related.
Issue A: Lag increases recoil. While the update from about a week ago reduced recoil to nearly reasonable levels, this "minor" recoil does not work when the game is under lag. When firing many weapons at once, large ships are loaded, and/or the game is processing lots of damage at once, recoil still causes wild spread. A c-c weapon that is about 1% of my ship mass on a 60k destroyer goes from about a 20-30px spread under dry tests to about a 200px spread once I start trying to actual blow things up with it, and intensifies even further to nearly half the width of my monitor once I start really blowing something up with all my beams and missiles firing in tandem with integrity explosions.
Issue B: In build mode, recoil throws your ship spinning wildly. I believe it is applying the acceleration of the recoil, but none of the dampening force that lets your ship recover from it. This is particularly problematic when doing weapons testing where you need to monitor damage patterns or measure accuracy in sequential shots by seeing where they are hitting in relation to each-other.
