Placing a weapon computer down, normally also auto links the shipcore (C) to this computer (V). That way it appears in the weapon menu too and it can be used immediately.

This doesn't happen anymore, any placed computer is not linked to the ship core so you have to do this manually. Not a big deal for testing
Not too many players know about this though and might think the entire weapon system is non functional.
