Do you mean your keyboard switching between AZERTY or QWERTY (or different QWERTY layouts)?
Check your controls to see if the normal movement keys and the ship movement keys are correctly assigned.

Hello there,
this may be side effect of input language hotkeys.
Its something like "left alt + shift" or left ctrl + shift and a number, depending on default settings of your operating system.

However this seems to be enabled by default on almost all german installations.

If you never touched the menus about input language, just hit shift 5-8 times in a row, it will then ask you if it should "lock" that key like pressing caps-lock,
or offers you to jump to the hotkey setup.
Disable the switching between languages by hotkey there.

It may look like this, just remove the hotkeys, and it should not happen again.
Usually near the task bar, or title-bar of the application there is a "DE" or "EN" showing your current input language, clicking on this can also switch between them.

If you never want to actually use the english input language, its also safe to delete it from the list of available input languages.
(As the physical layout of both keyboard is different, it does not really make sense to switch between them anyway..)
