Starmade | Ungrouping
Open, Needs Triage/UnclassedPublic

Description

Blocks in weapons groups and others ungroup on their own. Probably going to be a root cause for a lot of the issues in this game. It explains a hell of a lot of stuff.
I created a massive power supply. Then a massive missile launcher to use it.
The missile launcher has one computer and a missile array of 16x16x300. 76800 I made sure they are grouped. That can actually take several times because it won't always group them at one time. Which is probably part of the same issue. So finally I had the 76800 sitting stable. I then fired it. I noticed instead of one missile I got a second one as the power system started to recharge. So I checked the grouping and sure enough only a fraction of the 76800 was listed. However both groups appear to be connected to the same computer just not listing as 76800.
If you look under the weapons menu it doesn't show the full amount in other words. Even though they are obviously there and connected. Yet, you can go back and get them to regroup they will automatically do the same thing the next time you fire. I haven't checked what else causes it.

However, I believe the same thing is going on in power systems and other blocks it explains the large power systems not performing the way they should and so on.

I can take a pretty good guess at what is going on. These blocks are being continually looked at individually. That shouldn't be the case. They should be treated as a group and only if the group receives damage should they be looked at as on and individual basis and only then to determine the new groups capabilities.
In short they shouldn't be treated as individual blocks until the need arises. There is absolutely no reason to do so.

This also explains why things like large power supplies can suddenly perform poorly and need reloading and so on.
It explains beam transfer issues because they also require large groups in many cases.

I uploaded the ship I was testing on this thread. https://starmadedock.net/threads/ungrouping-issue.26369/

To be honest this is probably the actual biggest or worse problem in the game and root to many other issues.

Did some more testing on it and screen shot what was going on. http://imgur.com/a/3Bfvs
The next day I got back on a large section of the ship weapon system completely disappeared. http://imgur.com/a/lI3Ia
Worst bug I have ever seen in this game.

Tried that behaviour a few times with large groups and watched them closely.
Could not reproduce the error,
unless I alt+f4 while the block operations are in progress,
and thus destroying my action-queue in mid of its processing.
