Starmade | Starmade cannot be played fullscreen in Windows 10

Description

Cannot launch/play Starmade (Steam client tested) in fullscreen mode: after loading finishes, the game starts rapidly minimizing/maximizing to and from tray, and will not respond until shut down from task manager.

Windowed mode works fine.

Assuming relation to T451

did you possibly switch to a different desktop, or had on a different screen than main?
(So it possibly switches between focus "starmade" and "desktop" when starmade switches to fullscreen)

Nope, stayed on primary display and desktop the whole time, didn't even have another display connected to my comp.

I don't have this problem when playing full screen on Windows 10 but I do have an older Video Card than this one so that may make a difference.

I also noticed that despite the graphicsinfo, and latest drivers installed, the game actually uses the integrated Radeon R4 on the CPU instead the dedicated R5 on the motherboard. Even setting javaw to high performance system in the CCC, doesn't seem to help in any way. I have seen this issue with other games that use OpenGL, like Minecraft or The Long Dark.

Tested and unable to replicate with windows 10. I am not using the steam version however so it could be a problem through that.

I am using StarMade for Steam. I am also unable to replicate.
