I will be unable to do so because it is my station on MP with everything attached to it. (Everything is ALOT in this case and I'm not feeling good about if the game will crash while doing it)

Feel free to come on the MP server CraftAU to look at it

then build a seperate sample on a grey hull plate
just copy paste the door over to it from the station
would be easier than me using a 1200 ping connection to australia ^^

Originally when I noticed this problem I constructed a test rail door on the same entity (my space station) to see if it was caused by the change regarding collisions. This door did not work. Another player reported that their rail based moving entities (in this case an elevator) were working.

Some time later (like 4 hours) I logged back onto the server (no restart during this time) and noticed that my test rail door now worked, but my original ones still did not. This remains the case at this time.

For the record unless you are on the moon or your ISP is deliberately withholding from you then you don't have 1200 ping to Australia. I get 250-300 at most to US East, 300 to UK, 400 to Russia.

I can attempt to re-dock the rail doors but we have about 50 and all of them are not easy to do (i.e. they were built in-place after docking to the rail).

EDIT: Rebuilding the doors was unsuccessful

EDIT2: Forgot to mention in my OP the actual rails do change orientation but the entity doesn't move

Worked with Tester to find the issue. Somehow a rail speed controller was linked to all the rails on my station for no reason (even though the rail speed controller had a high ratio set on it).
The doors now work as intended.

ok closing this then

and the 1200 ping must have been a server lag issue then, i just checked .. its down to 333 .. thats more believable then ^^
