I update my Starmade to the latest version, attempt to start up and something always goes wrong during some stage of loading the game. The current workaround I have found is to redownload/overwrite the entire thing in the version options, but as you can imagine, that takes some time and is tedious. I am having the same problem on multiple computers. This is on Windows 10, x64.

This is a support problem more likely
are you running Avast ?
disable it while updating starmade
using the beta launcher from Steam or from the starmade dock side ?
which build version of the launcher are you using ?
i am using the latest launchers for some time now.
there isnt a problem with it as long as the build itself isnt broken.
that said .... are you running dev builds of starmade ?
I am not running avast, though when I was a while ago I didn't have any problems.
Steam is not in use here.
I believe I am using the latest build, don't quote me on that.
And no, I am not using dev builds of StarMade.
this one is the latest launcher version, maybe try that
http://sm-launcher-test.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html?prefix=jobs/Launcher/145/
there is nowhere shown which files are being downloaded and which are not.
and wouldnt be helpfull even if that was shown because you cant download them seperatly anyway.
its more likely that if the download breaks often that its a problem with the data transfer pr storage on your system. ... or its win 10 thing i do not know about.
