No problem on the other two issues. The camera orientation is be biggest annoyance believe it or not (I would rather have crew fall out of the ship rather than driving a ship with their heads tilted lol).

I downloaded the sment and reviewed your photos. You are 100% correct. That is the correct direction that the bottom camera need to be rotated. This should assist with other ship-to-mechs that I (and probably others) plan to build to support the SDF-1.
