do you have a way to reproduce it?

not really but it happend two times to my antiplayer turret one time only the second part and one time the whole turret. I don't know exactly why it happens but it looks like that it happen when the sector is unloaded but I'm not sure.

Is there a sector border near the station?

It may get saved in an adjacent sector, and thus "reloaded without the parent" which woould result in that drop-off situation.

No an admin from the server replaced the station in the sector centre so the sector border is not near.

Happened to me just now actually. Logged off last night from the server and logged back on to find my ship in the same place but undocked. AFAIK no server restart was carried out during this period and my ship/sector would probably have not been loaded again at all until this morning when I logged on the server.

Where does this happen?

Is it possible to visit that place?

(Click my name and hit "send message" to if you do not want server + location to be public.)

This sounds like T649.

I have this problem all of the time. It is SO frustrating. I have lost many hours of gameplay fixing problems as a result of it. I have two login names for the server I play on and it has happened to both logins, though it is more common for one of my logins than the other.

Here is my problem: Docked entities undock from the home base or ships they are docked to, while I am offline. Sometimes it happens very quickly. One minute everything is docked. I log off, I log back on, and 1 or 2 entities become undocked. This has been very problematic for me. I run a warring faction, and I cannot risk having my ships randomly undocking for no apparent reason and sitting at my base unprotected.

Here are some of the entities which have undocked:
-Arms which house turrets. These are power arms, which turrets dock to. On one ship, they are docked at 45 degree angles to rail rotator blocks and cannot be redocked after being undocked, forcing me to break the whole ship down and rebuilt it. The turret arms rest OUTSIDE of the ship, but are docked INSIDE, so that rail is protected.
-Ships which are docked to my home base.
-Doors, which are made of entities and which ride up and down on rails.
-Docked injectors inside of my ships.
-A jump inhibitor entity that is woven into the construction of my base and creates tremendous lag when it is undocked due to this bug.
-Elevator entities on my base which ride up and down and have complicated logic to control how they move.

Note that I have a system of doors on my base which automatically opens and closes when a ship is docks or undocks. The ship entrance creates a seal to the base. I have an activation block NEXT TO (but not connected to) the rail basic block, which a ship is docked to. This activation block connects to a not block, and that not block connects to plex doors. When a ship docks, the activation block turns on and the doors open. When this bug happens, the activation block, which is next to the rail, stays on as though the ship was never undocked. This problem becomes further problematic because every time I break down a ship in the shipyard, it seems I am losing blocks still.

Here has been the impact to my gameplay:

  • I have lost several hours of time trying to redock entities to the interior of other ships.
  • I have lost hours of gameplay while chasing down ships which had a logic jumpdrive on (and which jumped away from my base after undocking).
  • with 1FPS I have had to redock entities which were entertwined with the construction of my base. All of the collision detection going on caused massive lag for my client, as well as others on the server.
  • I have had to destroy entities which were creating massive lag, which I was not able to re-dock.
  • I have lost a lot of my materials due to the shipyard bug, constantly breaking down complex ships in the shipyard and rebuilding them with blueprints, causing me to have to mine more to replenish my stock.
  • I cannot build a very large ship at my home base because if I do, and it it becomes undocked while I am offline, I am risking losing it to someone else who may come by and kill it at range. How many weeks of mining do I want to lose?
