Since the last update I've encountered a rather unusual problem relating to camera position and frame-rate.
Namely, if the camera is anywhere within the loaded chunks of an object (tested with a station and a ship in both single and multiplayer) it will utterly decimate the frame-rate to something to the order of 1 - 0.25 frames per second. If I press F11 and move the camera away from an object to be floating freely in space, the frame-rate goes as high as usual (steady 60), as soon as it comes near to another object it sharply drops back to the 1 or less FPS.
This is an extremely unusual problem, and I can only imagine it has something to do with things being drawn within a certain distance of the camera, possibly once something of a certain detail threshold in regards to proximity to the camera needs to be rendered.
I have reinstalled starmade and updated my graphics drivers to no effect. I hope this can be resolved without too much trouble.
I had a quick look around to see if anyone else reported such a bug, but nothing was forthcoming.
Thank-you for all the hard work you put in, Schine. Starmade is a glorious testament to aweomsness
Love.
