Partial fix.
It seems to get stuck in a loop of avoiding collisions, and then resetting to that state just to start it all over again.
Asteroids get pushed away (as far as I can see at least), but they get reverted back to their original colliding position which triggers the same thing again after a few seconds.
It may be the lag compensation kicking in and putting it back where it came from, at least it looks like that as if you teleported a big ship to another local sector position.
