When I fire my rapid fire missiles (missile/cannon/punch) at a shielded target (ship or station) until its shields hit zero... the shield recharge never stops. Cannon and beam weapons cause a 10 second outage before recharge starts up again, but missiles do not. It really hurts my missiles damage when I can't stop the shields from recharging. I find that I have to flip to another weapon briefly to stop the recharge and flip back to my missiles.
