Brief update; disabling OPENAL sound fixed the issue. On a side note, didn't there used to be a launch menu for this?

Not sure precisely how new this problem is, as I am a returning player with a new set of hardware, some of which is painfully outdated and could be the issue. I have uploaded two of my most recent logs from steamapps>common>Starmade>Starmade>Logs, and am going to change the settings.cfg and try that before starting a full re-install.
