Starmade | Rails facing different directions go different speeds
Closed, RejectedPublic

Description

Created ship with large double hangar doors on either side. The rail graphics are facing in. When the doors open and close, the 2 right side doors are always faster than the left side doors. The left side door moving backward is slower than the left side door moving forward.

//Edit: Just one rail wasn't assigned to the speed controller

I dont quiete understand what you mean. Images or Blueprint would be nice

Try the docking bay at the bottom center of this blueprint. The logic on it is symmetrical. There are buttons inside the room overlooking the docking bay. If you hit the center button, both doors will move at the same time. You will see that they do not move at the same speeds, and the only difference is where the doors are located. There is also no way to use speed controllers to make them move at the same speed.

I've loaded it on the Testserver it's woking alright. Maybe you can come too and show me?

get newest dev build and go to play.starmade.net

I found it. I'll take a look at it

working on it

I couldn't find play.starmade.net, and after downloading the latest dev build 144.76.174.130:4242 server will not let me in saying my version is still outdated.

On the right door there is 1 rail wich is not assigned to the Speed controller. Assigned it and it's fixed. Oh and you dont have to use 2 Speed Controllers. 1 is enough.

Those speed controllers are for testing, I deleted both speed controllers on my computer, and they still work at different speeds.

One of the "blue marked" rails near the right door was unlinked

forgot which one, Oninoni found it.

with removing both controllers the doors were operating at exact same speed.

Maybe so, because I was messing with trying to unlink some rails so get them to balance out but If you take out the speed controllers, and look at the lights, which are at intervals on the rails, you will see they still don't blink at the same time.

I have 2 speed controllers for testing reasons also, trying to balance out the discrepancy. Today for some reason the rails on the left are faster than the rails on the right, whearas before this, it was the right rails were faster than the right. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with java and lag, but it is in SP.

Odd thing is when I load the blueprint those rails you have in that picture are not deselected.
