A few hours ago I was playing on a server, and while using fleet mode I lost connection to the server. when I tried to get back on the server it loaded into eh welcome to star made screen, and eventually disconnected saying "null runtime exception error: null". has been showing this popup ever since then every time I try to get on any server.

Could you upload your logstarmade.0.log after reproducing this issue? It's in your ./StarMade/logs folder, just drag and drop the file into phabricator's message box to upload it here.
0.199.634 is still a dev build and any of the test servers running on it are down it seems, so it may not be an issue on your end but logs should say more about that.
